Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix 2018 What to Watch

This weekend in Hungary, the final round of the 2018 Formula 1 World Championship before the summer break, will take place.

The Hungaroring, near the capital city of Budapest, is hosting the Hungarian Grand Prix once more. The present configuration, which stretches 2.7 miles and consists of an aggressive series of curves that pushes vehicles and drivers to their limits, makes it one of the slowest circuits on the calendar.

Since overtaking is notoriously challenging, it is important to qualify well and develop a winning race strategy. High downforce is still essential, but handling and agility are more vital than pure power in this situation. Because of the tight corners, mechanical grip is more critical than aerodynamic grip. Pirelli has designated its medium, soft, and ultrasoft compounds for the weekend in accordance with this.

Although it is usually extremely hot, the temperature isn't a major problem in Hungary during this time of year. According to the prediction, the race on Sunday and the qualifying session on Saturday should both be cloudy and warm.

Red Bull Racing may have an opportunity to succeed in Hungary since outright power isn't as crucial as it is in Monaco. During Friday's early practice, Daniel Ricciardo was already leading the time sheets, but Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari was immediately behind him.

Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes-AMG leads the 2018 Drivers' Championship with 188 points heading into the weekend. Kimi Räikkönen, a fellow Ferrari driver, is in third place with 131 points, while Vettel is in second place with 171 points. With 310 points, Mercedes leads the Constructors' Championship, followed by Ferrari (302) and Red Bull (21). Vettel for Ferrari was the winner in Hungary last year.
